Career Track One: Network Engineer Track
Combined Microsoft and Cisco Networking Course - For those who have been selected for training, this track starts with the European Computer Driving Licence
foundation course that enables people with little or no computer
experience to learn enough basic computer skills to start Microsoft's
Administrator Course. Microsoft introduced this course and
certification due to the skills gap and shortage of people qualified to
run small and medium sized companies' computer networks - a
demand created by more and more companies using new, or
enlarging existing, computer systems. You can go on to enhance
these skills with the Professional Courses and then move on to
become a Windows 2003 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, able
to design, install and develop computer systems and run larger
companies' networks. Even in 2008, Windows 2003 is the UK's most
widely used Microsoft Operating System. Finally you can become a
Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician and a Cisco Certified
Network Associate able to install, configure and troubleshoot the
world's most popular routers and switches which allow networks to
communicate.
